  5. In addition to the mammoth update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the battle royale game Warzone is getting a big refresh for Season 2 as well. Activision ran down all the key details in a blog post, and we're highlighting the most important bits here. New Places To Explore And More Mysteries : With the Season 2 update, Verdansk is expanding the number of points of interest to explore, but one shines above the rest. The cargo tanker Vodianoy--which was previously seen off the coast of Rebirth Island--is now missing from that location. It's now at the Port of Verdansk, but all is not well. "Operators within the vicinity are recommended to exercise extreme caution, as the ship is carrying unknown cargo, and its crew are not able to be contacted," Activision said. The publisher further teased something strange in Verdansk. "Meanwhile, within Verdansk, something major is beginning to rumble deep underground," the publisher said. "Although other reports on these new locales are still classified, we’d advise to explore these areas at your own risk." New Game Mode : A new mode called Exfiltration is coming to Warzone in Season 2. In Exfiltration Battle Royale, players must find a portable radio and hold it for a certain amount of time so a chopper can come and save you. The danger is that players or teams holding the radio are highlighted on the map and all other players are shown how much time is left before exfiltration. The rest of the match plays out normally, with the first player/team to get exfiltrated or the last player/team standing winning. Another new mode, Rebirth Island Resurgence Extreme, is headed to Warzone as well. In this respawn-enabled mode, up to 90 players (an increase from the previous player limit for normal Resurgence) duke it out in what is described as an "incredibly frenetic fight for supremacy." Release Date, Timing, And File Size : The Season 2 update for Warzone arrives as a "rolling update" starting on February 24 between 9 PM PT and 11 PM PT, which works out to 12 AM ET and 2 AM ET on February 25. Activision has yet to disclose the file size of the update, but it's expected to be substantial. Source : Gamespot.
  6. The upcoming Chains of Domination patch for World of Warcraft's Shadowlands expansion lets players do battle against the Banshee Queen herself, Sylvanas. It's a fight that's been brewing for years, and players are now finally getting the chance to go to war against her. Sylvanas is the final boss in the Sanctum of Domination raid that's coming to Shadowlands with the 9.1 update. At BlizzConline recently, we had a chance to speak with World of Warcraft technical director Frank Kowalkowski, who offered his thoughts on the greatly anticipated fight and what players can expect from it. "This has been years in the making. This has been a very long story arc," he said. "And tying back to Domination. It's fitting that she's at the top of the sanctum of Domination. Sylvanas' own life began at the hands of Domination and she's followed this path to eventually align with the Jailer going down the path that she's had. So I think it'll be a satisfying fight. I think it's going to be very unique. We have some very cool things planned for players. Wish we could share them now! But players will see soon enough what we have planned there." Intriguingly, Kowalkowski also teased that the aftermath of the battle against Sylvanas will have major ramifications. "The aftermath of that fight is going to be a very pivotal moment, not just for the Shadowlands but for Sylvanas as well," he said. Before players get to fight Sylvanas, they'll have to successfully make their way through the Sanctum of Domination, which sounds like a truly challenging raid. The raid has 10 bosses and numerous encounters, culminating in the fight against Sylvanas. Principal game designer Jeremy Feasel told GameSpot that players may notice that Blizzard's developers have implemented some changes and improvements in the new Sanctum of Domination raid. Specifically, Blizzard created the raid with an eye on providing players with a greater clarity of the boss space surrounding them. "We've been working very closely with our visual effects teams to make sure that we have custom visuals for raid fights and that they really stand out compared to player visuals," Feasel said. "We're also very closely looking into what we call the 'noisiness' of the player class visuals and player covenant visuals, and making sure that those in a raid space don't overwrite the boss abilities. To make sure that we have a clarity level there." As for the encounters themselves, Feasel teased that Blizzard created some "new and interesting and novel mechanics," going on to say that there will also be narrative elements woven into the raid fights. "The purpose of putting out a whole 10-boss raid is we have a big story to tell there, we have a lot of characters we want to see in the Jailer's personal torment chambers that are maybe characters from our past," he said. "There's a lot to accomplish there. We have a lot of big ideas." Finally, Feasel said he's excited for the Chains of Domination update to arrive on WoW's public test realm so the team at Blizzard can collect and examine feedback before rolling it out publicly to everyone. There is no word just yet, however, as to when Chains of Domination might hit the PTR or public servers. In addition to the game itself, EA Play members get three Gold Team Fantasy packs for Madden Ultimate Team every month. If you're an EA Play Pro subscriber, you get six. If you're just getting started with EA Play, you can sign up for just 99 cents for the first month. This offer is available only to new subscribers. Recently, the arcade-style mode, The Yard, added a lot of SpongeBob content. Source : Gamespot .
  8. Ed Sheeran Hints at New Album ‘Later This Year’ Ed Sheeran has enjoyed some extended downtime, but that’s all about to change. The superstar British singer and songwriter is ready to come out of self-imposed hibernation and release a new LP, sometime in 2021. Sheeran gave the strongest hint yet of his album release plans with a celebratory post on Wednesday (Feb. 17) to mark his birthday. He wrote, “30 today. Thank you for all your wonderful messages, I feel very loved. Currently dressed the same as I was on my 3rd birthday about to chow down on Colin the pirate caterpillar, poor bloke.” He signed off, “I’ll be back online with the 4th instalment in the series later this year, until then.” The four-part series he refers to are his debut + (or Plus from 2011), his sophomore album from 2014 × (Multiply) and 2017’s ÷ (Divide). Assuming he’s completing the elementary mathematical operations of arithmetic, it’s a safe bet that he’ll name his next effort – (Minus). Much has changed since Divide set the charts on fire. Sheeran got married to Cherry Seaborn, had his first child, and in 2019 realized a long-held dream of cutting a record with his pals, resulting in No.6 Collaborations Project. Sheeran is one of the most popular solo stars of this, or any, generation. All four of his full-length albums went to No. 1 in his homeland, and he’s on a three album streak atop the Billboard 200 chart. The IFPI bestowed Sheeran with the award for the Global Recording Artist of 2017 for Divide and he became the first winner to have both the best-selling album and single of the year, with “Shape of You.” His tour in support of the LP smashed box-office records around the globe and, to date, “Shape of You” is the most-streamed song on Spotify with more than 2.7 billion plays.
